Accessibility

In order to meet its obligations under the Disability Discrimination Act 1992 (Cwlth), the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations ensures that information and services are provided in a non-discriminatory, accessible manner.

To meet this requirement, the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations is adopting the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0. These guidelines are designed to help make content accessible to a wider range of people, with disabilities such as blindness and low vision, deafness and hearing loss, learning disabilities, cognitive limitations, limited movement, speech disabilities, photosensitivity and any combination of these. Following these guidelines will also often make content more usable.
